"....Flying to the Moon....!" as Frank Sinatra was signing. Nice shot, I never tried it. They say that we should expose it as for day light. Is it true? At F11 and the reciprocal of the ISO your camera was set at?
Personnaly I would have put it on one side left or right. Not dead center.

I shot the moon hand held, 1/200 sec. x F16 x 400mm, ISO200. All the shots I took where with the moon everywhere but in the middle. I cropped this photo to put it in the middle because I wanted to use it as wallpaper. My icons are around the edge of my monitor’s screen and I wanted the moon dead center. I was surprised at the detail you can see on the moon when you blow the photo's up. I took a number of shots with the moon in different positions on the frame thinking I might use them as a layer with another photo. That is not really necessary with digital photography, but I did it anyway.
